A boiler service is an important procedure essential for maintaining the safety, efficiency, and longevity of a boiler system. It may also be a condition of any home emergency insurance policy you take out. Conducted by a Gas Safe registered engineer, a service will typically take less than an hour, and involves inspecting, cleaning, and testing various components of the boiler.
The engineer will check for signs of wear, corrosion, or leakage in the boiler's exterior and interior, then clean key parts like the burner and heat exchanger to make sure they continue working at their best, and reduce the risk of hazards like carbon monoxide leaks, which could be extremely dangerous for you, and your family.
Once this is complete, they'll check things like the gas pressure levels, combustion efficiency, and flue gas emissions. Additionally, the engineer will also check the boiler controls, thermostat, and safety controls, to make sure they're working properly. Any settings that were changed during the service will be changed back, and you'll have the peace of mind that comes from knowing your boiler is working as expected.
Our boiler services can be carried out across mainland UK for any gas boiler - as long as it's not already faulty - and can be added to any home emergency policy (even if you haven't included boiler and heating cover), from just £8.47 a month, or £90 if you want to pay for your policy annually.
