Switching your home emergency and/or appliance cover to us couldn’t be simpler. We will also provide you with a change of insurer form for you to send to your existing provider, making it easy to cancel your existing arrangement and move over to us.
If your appliance is under 5 years old and can't be fixed, we'll replace it with an appliance of similar specification/functionality.
If your appliance is over 5 years old but under 10 years old, we will make a contribution towards the cost of replacement. The contribution depends on the age of the appliance.

If your product has been recalled, this wouldn’t be covered under your appliance insurance. You would need to follow the guidelines issued by the product manufacturer in this instance.
We offer tailored cover for more than 30 electrical appliances, floorcare products, home entertainment devices, kitchen appliances, laundry products and small appliances, whatever brand they might be, allowing you to cover the things that are most important to you, and keep life moving. You can cover all these on one plan, to make life easier too.
You will get unlimited call-outs up to the value of the appliance(s) you have chosen to cover. You will not be able to claim for more than the appliance's declared value.

Yes, this policy includes cover for accidental damage to your selected appliances, in addition to cover for mechanical and electrical breakdown.
A claim should be made within 72 hours of the product breaking down. However, if your product breaks down within the first 28 days of the policy starting, it will not be covered under this plan.
Our appliance cover can be put into place alongside or once the manufacturers guarantee has expired. Generally manufacturers’ guarantees are only for 12 months and cover repair or replacement but it’s unlikely to cover accidental damage as our policy does.

Making an appliance claim couldn’t be easier. Find out more about the claims process below.
1. Call our team as soon as reasonably possible to report the incident
2. Our engineer will attend as quickly as possible, within normal working hours (9am – 5pm Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays)
3. Once the job is done, you’ll sign to confirm you’re happy with the service and we’ll settle the bill (within your cover limits) with the engineer directly.

Please note, there is a compulsory £50 excess to pay in the following situations (in addition to any voluntary excess selected):
Any claim made within the first 90 days of cover
Any appliance over 6 years of age
You will be asked for proof of purchase of your chosen appliance(s). Your claim will not be processed unless this is provided.
You can choose between a £0 or £50 excess when you take out your appliance insurance with us.
There is also a £50 compulsory excess to pay in the following situations:
any claim made within the first 90 days of cover
any appliance over 6 years of age
If you're a tenant, but you own the appliances in the property you rent, we can offer you cover.
If you're a tenant and your landlord owns the appliances within the property you rent, we're unable to offer cover.
