If your appliance is less than 5 years old and can’t be repaired, we’ll replace it with one of a similar type and spec, so you’re back up and running in no time.

If your appliance is between 5-10 years old, we’ll still give you a helping hand by making a contribution towards a replacement. The amount we cover depends on the age of your appliance:

Hot temperatures make appliances work harder - especially fridges, freezers, and washing machines. Motors run for longer, leading to breakdowns.

If we can’t repair it, we’ll replace it (if it’s under 5), or contribute towards the cost of a new one. The amount you’ll get depends on the age of your appliance.

Here’s how it works - quick, simple, and stress-free:

1. Call us - or fill out our online form - within 48hrs of the problem starting (after this, it wouldn’t be considered an emergency, and wouldn’t be covered).

2. We’ll arrange for an engineer to visit quickly, during our normal working hours (9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays).

3. Once everything’s sorted, you’ll just need to sign to confirm you’re happy with the work, and we’ll take care of the bill directly with the engineer (within your cover limits).

A quick heads-up - there’s an extra £50 excess to pay if:

• you make a claim in the first 90 days of your cover

• the appliance you’re claiming for is over 6 years old

Yes - we’ll need to see proof of purchase for the appliance(s) you’ve chosen to cover. Without it, we won’t be able to process your claim.

When you take out cover with us, you can choose the excess that suits you best. In general, the higher the excess you pick, the lower your monthly cost will be.

The two options are £0, and £50.

Yes, we can protect over 30 appliances (e.g. fridges, ovens, washing machines, air fryers) against accidental damage, and mechanical/electrical breakdown.

Switching your home emergency and/or appliance cover to us couldn’t be simpler. Call us on 0333 00 32 999 and we can set up your cover straight away or you can get a quick quote online - it only takes 5 minutes. We will also provide you with a change of insurer form for you to send to your existing provider, making it easy to cancel your existing arrangement and move over to us.

If your product has been recalled, this wouldn’t be covered under your appliance insurance. You would need to follow the guidelines issued by the product manufacturer in this instance.

Yes, this policy includes cover for accidental damage to your selected appliances, in addition to cover for mechanical and electrical breakdown.

A claim should be made within 72 hours of the product breaking down. However, if your product breaks down within the first 28 days of the policy starting, it will not be covered under this plan.

Our appliance cover can be put into place alongside or once the manufacturers guarantee has expired. Generally manufacturers’ guarantees are only for 12 months and cover repair or replacement but it’s unlikely to cover accidental damage as our policy does.
